and injustice around the India, through effective, appropriate
and enduring solutions.
Soni Shantaba NDDC Trust belief chain
- The lives of all human beings are of equal value. In a
world rich in resources, poverty is an injustice that must
be overcome.
- Poverty makes people vulnerable to conflict and natural
calamities; much of this suffering can be prevented.
- People's vulnerability to poverty and injustice is increased
by unequal power relations based on, for example, gender,
race, class and caste.
- Working together we can build a just and safer India,
in which people take control over their own lives and enjoy
their rights.
- To overcome poverty and injustice involves changing unjust
policies and practices, both nationally and internationally.
