Soni Shantaba NDDC Trust's response for natural disasters or conflict is swift and pointed, ranging from relief to long term rehabilitation. Soni Shantaba NDDC Trust's approach is responsive to community needs and to the special needs of women and children.

Soni Shantaba NDDC Trust plans to work with local communities to help them build their abilities to prepare themselves to cope with future disasters in their respective areas. Training programs will focus on documenting and developing traditional knowledge and on introducing new techniques through community organization. Such efforts will enable communities to preserve and manage skills and knowledge to protect themselves better during times of disaster.
